Data is collected, processed and used according to Art. 6 (1)(f) DSGVO to optimise our website. Date, time, country of recall, operating system, web browser and set language, type of device or model and screen resolution, visited pages and engagement as well as downloads and internal searches are logged. IP addresses are collected anonymised (2 bytes).
We respect the Do Not Track settings of your browser. Additionally, you can deactivate the tracking on this website by removing the mark below.
To optimise the website, the data is transmitted to the responsible employees (IT, communication and marketing). Your personal data is not transmitted to third parties. A transmission of your personal data to third countries or international organisations does not exist and is not planned.

Usage of Chatbot in the Knowledge Portal (formerly Download Portal)
The ETW Chatbot utilises the Azure OpenAI Service provided by Microsoft (currently: Region Sweden Central, Model GPT-4o-mini, Temperature: 0.2). IVE mbH has no control over, and accepts no responsibility for, any data processing, storage, or logging performed by Microsoft or its affiliates. Users should review Microsoft’s applicable terms of use and privacy policies, which may change without notice. Continued use of the Chatbot constitutes acceptance of such changes.
The chatbot’s responses are primarily generated from documents provided by IVE mbH and EcoTransIT World (e.g. manuals, methodology reports and similar materials). Outputs may be automatically generated, incomplete, outdated or contain errors and do not constitute legal, financial or any other form of professional advice. Do not make decisions based solely on the chatbot’s outputs.
Users must refrain from submitting any confidential, sensitive, or personal data unless strictly necessary and lawful. Users are solely responsible for the legality of any data they provide, including ensuring any required third-party consents.
To the extent permitted by law, IVE mbH shall not be liable for any loss or damage arising from the use of the chatbot or from changes to or interruptions of Microsoft’s services. For questions regarding system configuration or data sources, please contact IVE mbH (support@ivembh.de).
Consulting, support or other services offered by IVE mbH
Your transmitted personal information is collected, processed and used to render the ordered or requested services according to Art. 6 (1)(a) or (1)(b) DSGVO. The provision of personal information is necessary for a satisfactory rendering of the service or tendering. If the data is not provided, we cannot execute the contract or prepare a tender.
Depending on the agreed service or the requested offer, your data is transmitted to the responsible employees of IVE – Ingenieurgesellschaft für Verkehrs- und Eisenbahnwesen mbH (IVE mbH) to process the service or the offer. A transmission of your personal data to third countries or international organisations does not exist and is not planned.
Your data is saved until the end of contract or until rejection of the offer. Afterwards, your data will be deleted, destroyed or restricted.
In accordance with Art. 15 DSGVO, you have the right to obtain information about the processing of your personal data.
Furthermore, according to Art. (16–18) and (20) DSGVO, you are free to assert your rights to rectification, erasure or if erasure is not possible, to restriction of processing and data portability. If you would like to use your rights, please contact our data protection officer.
You also have the right to inform the competent supervisory authorities about a process. If you are of the mind that the process of your personal data does not take place in compliance with the GDPR, we kindly ask you to contact our data protection officer.
According to Art. 13 (2)(b) DSGVO, you also have the right to object the processing of your personal data.
